Africa ICT Right (AIR) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit ICT oriented organization established in 2007 with its Head Office in Accra the capital of Ghana. It is registered as an NGO (under the Companies code 1963, Act 179) with the Registrar General’s Department (Registration No. G.20,276) and also with the Department of Social Welfare (Registration No. DSW/3613).

AIR provides sustainable, low cost technology solutions and internet access, as well as technical support, training services and rich educational content to schools, communities and community-based educational organizations throughout Ghana. AIR is strongly committed to the accelerated growth of Ghana’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. We are a highly regarded and innovative not-for-profit ICT service provider to the education sector, committed to fulfilling our educational, social and environmental responsibilities. We are proud of our transparent promotion of free and open source technology (and content) solutions and affordable internet access (for eligible educational clients) toward Ghana’s educational advancement.

AIR has pioneered affordable strategies, technology and educational resource solutions for schools and communities. Its models combine low-cost refurbished computers, free and open source operating systems, software applications and educational content, significantly discounted access to the 24/7 Internet using wireless in remote parts of Ghana, and the offer of ICT volunteers to provide ICT support and training after set up and installation.
